Rubicon Organics’ mission is to grow the best cannabis on earth and for the earth, and today we are doing just that out of our state-of-the art greenhouse facility located in Delta, B.C. We’ve recently started trading on the TSX Venture Exchange, expanded out partnerships with big names such as PAX Labs, and announced a Product Supply Agreement with German medicinal Cannabis distributor canacur GmbH. Our growth is as tangible as our products, and we’ve only just begun. 

The purpose of the Financial Analyst role is to support the Rubicon Organics Finance Team with a broad range of financial analyses to enable our growth as one of Canada’s top organic cannabis producers.

We are looking for an outstanding Financial Analyst who wants to leave a tangible legacy:
·      Someone who masterfully works an excel spreadsheet and enjoys doing it. Performs complex formulas individually and recommends strategies that maximize efficiency and output to share with the rest of the team.

·      Possesses a Finance &/OR Accounting background and want to grow in this area. You’re happy being both supportive & supported, but ultimately want to be an independent contributor that makes a BIG impact in this newer industry

Responsibilities:
·      Prepare various financial analyses, including financial forecasts, budgets, variance analysis, product cost models and summary information for use in management reporting
·      Prepare sales reporting and perform analysis on sales accounts
·      Prepare weekly internal reports for specific stakeholders
·      Assist in the monthly close process such as posting journal entries for accruals or corrections
·      Review monthly results with budget owners, and provide summary
·      Creation, maintenance and improvement of data collection and analysis
·      Prepare invoices with different pricing files and invoicing terms
·      Prepare and run monthly Revenue and receivables entries, complete accounts reconciliations including customer payments, process month/year-end journal entries and financial analysis for AR and other applicable accounts. Reconcile various accounts by identifying errors in posting or omissions by applying appropriate accounting standards.
·      Assist with quarterly and annual audits
·      Other duties may be assigned as needed to ensure the efficient operation of the department

Requirements:
·      Bachelor’s Degree & Concentration in related field (Finance, Accounting)
·      Working towards CPA designation is an asset
·      1-2 years’ relevant experience
·      Excel proficiency & experience (intermediate/complex formulas)
·      Excellent organizational skills and ability to establish priorities with little direction in a fast-paced environment
·      Attention to detail and commitment with a high degree of accuracy, including consistent, timely and objective output
·      Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·      Ability to balance multiple tasks and prioritize, ensuring timely and accurate data entry
·      Ability to travel depending on needs (ex. weekly or bi-weekly basis) to our Delta Greenhouse – it’s where the action happens
